Sparked by his belief that one morning, he's found stardust on his breakfast table.Initially his claims are laughed at by the scientific community only to then be confirmed by the very scientists that said it was impossible. The discovery makes headlines around the world from The Economist to The New York Times and National Geographic. Jon is the first person to discover stardust amongst us in the urban environment. DEAD GOOD documentary (75mins)

“Several people died during the making of this film.”

★★★★ Total Film            ★★★ The Guardian

An intimate portrait of those dealing with their dead, supported by a team of women who are ‘giving death back to the people’ and enabling participation during the ritual of care.

Enabling and encouraging loved ones to be involved in the whole or any part of the process; from advice around keeping a loved one at home until the funeral, to bathing and dressing the deceased explaining that embalming is not necessary, or using their own vehicle to transport the coffin to being bearers for their loved one’s final journey.

With extraordinary access, we follow three groups of people, close up, from the point of death of their loved one through to the ceremony. .

A thought-provoking piece that makes a contribution to the growing debate on how we handle death, questioning societal assumptions; it also gives viewers a personal insight into a mostly enigmatic process, which all of us will have to face at some point.

At a time when many of us are worried about the state of the world and our society, this film will provide a refreshing and positive insight into how individuals are quietly working towards social change and empowering people. Many of the people who are driving this change in the film are women, working in a male-dominated industry.

Emma Thompson’s – Introduction to Dead Good

Me and Me Dad.jpg

ME AND ME DAD

An intimate family portrait of the film director John Boorman by one who should know him best - his daughter Katrine. Now over 80 years old, the director of Hell in the Pacific, Excalibur, Deliverance and The Emerald Forest is one of the last great mavericks. His daughter, who previously had never held a camera, spent four years filming her father who, during the process, found it impossible to resist taking control and offering her a crash course in filmmaking.

Vulnerable, cross, funny, wild and wise, Boorman chronicles his adventures in Hollywood, but also talks with great honesty about his childhood, his marriages, his passion for nature, his need for danger and why film is the only thing he ever truly loved. Though the film is also a portrait of one of the most influential British filmmakers of the last 40 years, most of all it is a story of a father and daughter finding their way back to each other through the language of film.
